The State Ministry of National Policy and Economic Affairs said that future investment opportunities for China in Sri Lanka was also discussed at the meeting. Deputy Minister of National Policy and Economic Affairs Niroshan Perera is to brief Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on the outcome of the talks.Perera said that Sri Lanka’s foreign policy is strong and equal when dealing with all countries and the visit by the Chinese delegation was a testimony to this. The Chinese delegation led by Yang Weiqun, director of the department of Asian affairs at the Chinese Commerce Ministry, is in Sri Lanka on an official visit.
