Several Deputy Ministers were reshuffled by President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretaries today.Former Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva was appointed as the new Deputy Minister for National Policies and Economic Affairs, Ranjan Ramanayake as the new Deputy Minister of Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage, Karunarathna Paranawithana as the Deputy Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training and Palitha Range Bandara as the Deputy Minister of Irrigation. Vasantha Senanayake was appointed as the new State Minister of Foreign Affairs and Lakshman Yapa as the State Minister of Public Enterprise Development. (Colombo Gazette) Lasantha Alagiyawanna was appointed as the new Deputy Finance Minister and Deputy Minister of Mass Media. Eran Wickremeratne took oaths as the new State Minister of Finance.
URS Corp has completed its acquisition of Scott Wilson Group. The addition of Scott Wilson expands URS’ international presence by adding a network of 80 offices around the world, including offices in key regional centres such as London, Hong Kong, New Delhi, Warsaw and Dubai, and more than 5,500 employees.
