first_imgGeneral Mills launches new Fiber One cereal with real strawberriesPosted By: Contributoron: January 23, 2019In: Food, Industries, Innovation, New products, SnacksPrintEmailGeneral Mills is expanding its Fiber One breakfast cereal range in the US with a new strawberries and vanilla clusters variant.Made with steel-cut oats, vanilla clusters and real strawberries, the product is said to contain 35% of the daily recommended value of fibre in every one-cup serving.General Mills said the cereal represents a tasty way for shoppers to increase their intake of fibre, as it cited figures suggesting that 90% of US consumers are not having enough.Kim Seifert, senior marketing manager for Fiber One, said: “We’re excited to add Fiber One strawberries and vanilla clusters to our cereal line-up. Fiber One has always been the tasty way to fibre, and by adding real strawberries and vanilla clusters, we know this latest product introduction will delight consumers looking for a new fibre-rich option in the cereal aisle.”The new variant joins the Fiber One cereal portfolio in the US which also consists of original bran and honey clusters.
